 RAID Data Recovery

Recovering data from RAID systems is one of the most complex forms of data recovery.
X Files Recovery engineers are the best in the industry and have developed highly successful methods that provide full RAID data recovery services. With more than 12 years in data recovery field experience, we have the expertise required to solve most challenging RAID recoveries.

RAID failures can be caused by a variety of factors, usually beginning with making wrong decisions under pressure and followed by hard drive or controller failures, overheating, improper maintenance, mishandling, improper configuration, untested upgrades, viruses, file deletions.

X Files Recovery preserves the integrity of the original data by by diagnosing each drive individually and by creating sector by sector images of the source drives.

When your RAID has failed avoid performing
actions that can potentially further damage chances for a successful recovery.

Regularly check your RAID management logs for errors. You might have a degraded RAID.
Do not reinitialize your RAID array after failure. In fact don't write anything to the drives.
Save / backup your data before RAID rebulid. A degraded RAID will fail on rebuild if a second drive in the array has minor errors - they probably have after being in use for years.
Do not run " disk repair / revitalize " utilities - even if they claim to fix your bad drive you will most likely end up with a drive broken apart from the array. Do not run fsck, chkdsk or any variant on your RAID as data shifting may occur. Label the drives with their position in RAID
If a drive is making unusual mechanical noises, turn it off immediately and call for assistance. Avoid replacing a failed drive with a drive that was part of a previous RAID system.
